Exceptional accessibility

Whether you come on foot, by bike, by bus, by tram, by train or even by car, the district is perfectly connected.

At the heart of the Howald City vision, mobility is being reinvented to meet current and future needs. The project aims to encourage soft mobility and promote a mix of means of transport.

The multimodal station is the cornerstone of the mobility plan. It is designed to provide easy connections to neighbouring towns and countries. Nearly 24,000 passengers are expected to pass through the station every day!

Another of the district's key assets is the tram, which will be stopping here in the very near future. It will provide a fast, free link between Howald City and the Cloche d'Or and Luxembourg City.

The project also aims to encourage soft mobility with the creation of a cycle path linking Hesperange, Howald and the Cloche d'Or.

A number of bicycle stations and recharging points for electric cars and bicycles will also be available in the district.

In terms of access by car, Howald City benefits from its proximity to the Gasperich crossroads, where the A1 and A3 motorways meet. There is also a 2,000-space P+R car park at the exit.

Every morning, I drop Zoé off at the crèche down the road. Then I ride my folding bike to the tram stop. It takes me less than 20 minutes to get to the bank where I work near the main station. And in the evening, it's just as easy!
Claire, a young mum who works in the city centre, is delighted.
I live 10 minutes by car from Thionville station. It's very convenient. I leave my electric scooter in the car park in the morning. I hop on the train to Luxembourg and 20 minutes later I'm at Howald station! The stress of traffic jams? Never heard of it!
Lucas, a young French entrepreneur, is delighted to have opted for coworking in Howald.
Investors looking to buy rental property pay particular attention to location. Howald City ticks all the boxes to convince and reassure them! Accessibility by car, train or tram is optimal. What's more, the district is just a stone's throw from the Cloche d'Or, which is a real asset as thousands of workers go there every day. Renting a flat in Howald city will appeal to many people who want a better quality of life and fewer commutes.
Property developer Alexandre is delighted with Howald City's strategic location.
