The New Quarter
to the south of Luxembourg City

The new green & connected district of Hesperange

Imagine starting each day in a vibrant neighbourhood just a few minutes from Luxembourg City. The new connected hub of Hesperange, to the south of the capital, is designed to make your daily life easier.

Ideally located close to the Cloche d'Or, Howald City and its new multimodal hub in Luxembourg make it easy to get around by tram and train. Soft mobility is enhanced by cycle paths that help to protect the environment in an environmentally-friendly way.

For cross-border commuters, motorway links make it easy to reach your office from France, Belgium, Germany or other Luxembourg towns.

Howald City emphasises proximity to essential services that meet your daily needs, such as crèches, schools, shops and restaurants.

Imagine living in an environment where nature blends harmoniously with modern architecture, creating a pleasant and sustainable living environment just a stone's throw from the forest.

A story begins here, in Howald City. It could be yours...

An area undergoing major change

Howald City is coming into being on the site of the former Howald Artisanal and Commercial Zone. Following the overhaul of the General Development Plan, this locality in the Hesperange commune is being transformed to offer its users a dynamic, urban neighbourhood.

A mix of housing, offices, services and shops will be created in an unspoilt 37-hectare setting.

A highly connected neighbourhood!

Howald City, ideally located at the entrance to Luxembourg City and close to the Cloche d'Or, is easily accessible by public transport and close to a motorway junction.

What's more, its new, high-performance multimodal hub will offer a multitude of means of transport: tram, bike or car when necessary.

This will facilitate links between Luxembourg, the Cloche d'Or and neighbouring towns.

In addition, a new motorway bypass providing links to French and German motorways will also be built in the district to facilitate connections with neighbouring countries.

Our different types of project

‘Our ambition is to build a multifunctional living space that brings together all the activities of an attractive urban life.’

A stimulating partnership between owners and developers

The renewal of Howald is being guided by a partnership between several owners and developers: IKO Real Estate, Baltisse, BPI, Lone Star Funds, Lafayette, Lalux Assurances, Capelli, GT Technics, Banque de Luxembourg and Croix Rouge Luxembourgeoise.

Our common goal is to promote a neighbourhood that offers a diversity of ways of living and working, meeting both the current challenges of the market and the needs of future occupants.

Howald City will therefore offer housing and office space for all generations. Active people, families, senior citizens and businesses will all be able to flourish in a protected green setting, close to the Howald Forest and all amenities.
